DAY 1: Fly to Bahar Dar
Fly to Bahar Dar and visit the Blue Nile Falls and take a boat trip to the Lake Tana monasteries. Overnight in Bahar Dar.
DAY 2: Fly to Gondar
Fly to Gondar. After settling in the hotel, explore the castles of King Fasilidas and the famous Debre Birhan Selassie church. Overnight in Gondar.
DAY 3: Fly to Lalibela
Fly to Lalibela. The whole day will be dedicated to visiting the rock-hewn churches of the remarkable King Lalibela. Overnight in Lalibela.
DAY 4: Fly to Axum
Fly to Axum. In Axum you visit the Archaeological Museum and explore the historical landmarks of the ancient Axumite Empire, including the Queen of Sheba’s Bath, King Bazen’s tomb, Tsion Mariam Church – the last resting place of the Ark of the Covenant, and the ancient stellae erected as burial tombs for the most respected Kings. Overnight in Axum.
DAY 5: Fly Back to Addis Ababa
On the final day of the journey, you fly back to Addis Ababa and enjoy a full day of leisure for shopping or relaxing as you prepare for your flight home.
